After a heavy breakfast, you will be picked up early morning in Kigali. Travel to Volcanoes National Park for about 2-3 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your place of stay and enjoy a delicious lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a guided cultural tour in the Iby'Iwacu Village, where you will interact with locals and experience Rwandan culture. Spend the evening at your pre-booked accommodation, preparing for the gorilla trekking adventure the next day. Enjoy breakfast at your lodge or camp, then transfer to Kinigi for a briefing by park officials and allocation of gorilla groups. Each group is trekked by a maximum of 8 guests. The trek begins at 8:00 am and may take 2-6 hours, depending on your speed and fitness. Once the gorillas are found, you will have one hour to observe and photograph them. After the trek, return to your lodge for a short relaxation, then depart Volcanoes National Park for Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or next destination. The trek can take anywhere from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. You will spend one hour with the gorillas once found.
The package includes a valid gorilla permit, all activities as per the itinerary, accommodation and meals, transportation, a safari guide, bottled water, and airport transfers.
