Day-by-Day Itinerary

Kigali – Volcanoes National Park – Gorilla Trekking – Return
Set off early in the morning from Kigali with your essentials for a 2-3 hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, settle at Kinigi for a briefing from park officials about gorilla trekking rules and regulations, including maintaining a safe distance of 8-10 meters from the gorillas. After the briefing, park rangers will lead you into the forest to begin your trek at around 8:00 am. The trek can take 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, you will have one hour to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to meet your safari guide and depart for Kigali, marking the end of your memorable one-day gorilla tour in Rwanda.
